Service
Delivery Status, operated by Delivery Status, Inc., provides package tracking “as is.” No sign-in required. Use the web form or the POST /v1/track API. Status, ETA, and scan history come from a third-party aggregator when a live key is configured; otherwise a deterministic mock answers demo codes and sample numbers.
Not a carrier
We are not a postal or parcel carrier. We do not control delivery, pickup, or claims. Aggregator status can lag, be incomplete, or be wrong. Always confirm important decisions with the carrier of record.
Insurance
Shipment insurance is not offered yet. Any checkout or insure endpoints that may exist in the API are placeholders for a possible future feature and do not sell coverage today.
Other apps
When Delivery Status is used from another app, it answers tracking questions with normalized status data. That app’s own terms and privacy practices also apply to how it stores credentials and conversation context.
Shared phrase view
Intent phrases submitted through our tracking can contain personal details. The shared list is opt-in and anonymized. It never names an organization, connector, or user. A phrase is shown only after we scrub numbers, names, emails, URLs, and similar identifiers.
Developers must opt in before their phrases count toward or appear in the shared network view. They can opt out at any time going forward.
The shared view never shows who received a phrase, or which connector received it.
Delivery Status, Inc. owns the aggregated data. Developers receive a license to view and distribute their own data.
Developer portal
A developer portal account requires a company email address.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse the track endpoint (automated scraping, quota exhaustion, or attempts to disrupt the service). Demo codes prefixed with MSHIP- are provided so you can try the product without consuming live aggregator quota.
Do not send fake or synthetic traffic. Access to the shared view may be removed.
Disclaimer
The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for missed deliveries, incorrect ETAs, or decisions made from tracking data.
Connector analytics
A connector account is optional. You are responsible for the events your server sends and for keeping the API key private. The shared view opens only after the activity requirements shown in the product are met, and it can close again if recent activity drops. We may exclude traffic that looks synthetic. The shared view does not name your organization or connector. Questions: hello@deliverystatus.now.
Each event may include the phrase after scrubbing, the tool name, the platform, the timestamp, the outcome, the latency, the result count, the country, a hashed session id, and the connector version. We never store raw session ids, IP addresses, or user agents.
The free plan, its limits, and its features may change. Paid plans may be introduced with notice.
Anonymized, aggregated data may be used to produce insights, benchmarks, and reports. Those insights never name an organization, connector, or user. Developers must not resell or republish the global data.
